Taste Honest Food and Creative Cocktails at The Industry Standard in Bonita Springs

Looking for a Fresh Dining Experience in Bonita Springs? Check Out The Industry Standard!

Are you on the hunt for a new dining spot that offers a unique blend of delicious food and a lively atmosphere? The Industry Standard Kitchen + Bar, now open in the former Causeway location in Bonita Springs, is quickly becoming a must-visit destination for both food lovers and cocktail enthusiasts alike!

A Vision Brought to Life

The Industry Standard is the latest venture from Chef Adam Nardis, a renowned figure in Southwest Florida’s culinary scene. Adam has held executive chef positions at popular restaurants like M Waterfront Grill and Crave Culinaire. In 2020, he and his partner opened Seventh South Craft Food + Drink in Naples, followed by Coldwater Oyster Market in Fort Myers. Now, he’s bringing his expertise to Bonita Springs with this exciting new restaurant.

A True Scratch Kitchen

When Adam and his partner Ken took over the former Causeway location, they transformed it into a stunning open kitchen where diners can watch their meals being prepared. A standout feature of the restaurant is the “Chef’s Bar,” a nine-seat bar that allows guests to interact directly with the chef as dishes are prepared right in front of them. This intimate setting enhances the dining experience, offering a unique chance to connect with the culinary team.

At The Industry Standard, the focus is on fresh, scratch-made dishes. Chef Nardis proudly states that "everything but the ketchup" is handmade. The restaurant’s menu changes monthly, offering a variety of exciting new dishes for guests to enjoy. Nardis is passionate about serving “honest food,” where every ingredient tells a story. His approach to cooking stems from a deep curiosity about the origins of ingredients and the cultures behind each style of cuisine.

One dish that exemplifies this philosophy is the “Grouper Taino.” Inspired by the history of the Taino people in the Caribbean, this dish features grouper seasoned with a blend of spices and grilled over a wood-fired grill. It’s a flavorful tribute to the region’s rich cultural history.

The Bar Experience

In keeping with the scratch-kitchen philosophy, the bar at The Industry Standard offers handcrafted cocktails made with freshly squeezed juices and herbs — no sour mix here! The cocktail list is still being curated, but you can expect a selection of creative, made-to-order drinks. Additionally, the popular self-pour beer wall from the Causeway is back, allowing guests to pour their own draft beer whenever they please.

The restaurant also boasts an indoor-outdoor bar and seating area, with plans to add shade sails and more seating options to make the outdoor space even more inviting. Whether you're enjoying a cocktail or a cold beer, the comfortable atmosphere makes it a perfect place to relax.

The Industry Standard is also aiming to contribute to Bonita Springs' nightlife scene. With plans for live music and a "Pies After Nine" menu that serves pizza and cocktails after the main kitchen closes, it’s quickly becoming the place to be for a late-night bite and drink.
